David Gordon Nickerson passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday June 27, 2017 at St. Therese Villa in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 62.
Dave was an accomplished musician, primarily on the drums. He played alongside his father Gordon and Harry Munroe in their band, the “Whiskey Gap”, as well as many other groups, one of which led him to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.
He worked as a security guard for the Lethbridge Correctional Centre, Sears, Zellers,
Sik-Ooh-Kotoki Friendship Society and the Lethbridge Shelter and Resource Centre.
Dave was predeceased by his father, Gordon, and his mother, Ruth.
We would like to thank Dr. Haberman and the staff of St. Therese Villa for all the care they provided to Dave during his more than seven year stay there.
There will be no formal funeral service.
