John Stahr

JOHN STAHR passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in his 88th year of life.  John was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle.  John loved to go fishing and camping with his wife Laurie.  John left the farm at a very young age to make his way on his own in the world.  John worked as a logger, heavy equipment operator, truck driver, roughneck, and blaster.  John achieved a Journeyman designation in Heavy Duty Mechanics and Welding.  John had the reputation of being able to work twice as hard and twice as long as men half his age.  John spent his retired years teaching his grandson Johnny his trades as well as all the lessons he’d learnt about life along the way.  John had a truly amazing gift to be able to strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, anytime.  John loved to visit and converse with others.

At John’s request, there will be no viewing or ceremony.
