Maurice "Moe" Gillis

Maurice “ Moe” Gillis, of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away peacefully  on Saturday March 10, 2018 at the age of 86.

 Moe was born on December 22,1931 in Regina Saskatchewan.

 He is survived by Alice Gillis, his loving wife of 60 years. Also, his five children: daughter Leslie (Phil) Jennings, sons Maurice (Yumiko), Kenn ( Deanna), Scott, and David. And his grandchildren Courtney,  Meaghan, Daniel, Ainsley, Saasha, and Riley.

Moe spent much of his youth in Calgary and was an avid sportsman. He played junior hockey with the Okotoks Oilers. He was involved in lots of other activities and clubs, too numerous to mention but his lifelong passion was golf. His 2 hole in ones attest to it.

 Moe spent many of his working years travelling throughout Canada making many friends. However, his favourite time was with his family, showing a deep love for his wife and kids. He was always there to support everyone and share a laugh. Moe will be dearly missed and we are grateful beyond words for all he has given us.

 A celebration of his life will be held at a later date when all his family can come together to recognise this special man.
