William Kostiuk

KOSTIUK

William (Bill) Kostiuk, beloved husband of Verna Kostiuk, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the age of 71.  He was the loving father of sons Corey (Charlotte) and Kyle (Evelyn).

      Bill is also survived by his two grandchildren, Kaylum and Mehki, and his brother John (Doris) Kostiuk, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Annie Way and his parents Helen and George Kostiuk.

      Bill worked for York Farms for several years as purchasing agent and a health and safety advisor.

      On many occasions, while employed with York Farms, Bill enjoyed dressing up as the plant’s Santa Claus at the children’s Christmas party and the children simply loved him.  Some of Bill’s other interests included, attending his son Corey’s soccer games and his son Kyle’s baseball games which he was known at the time, to have never missed a game.  In his younger years, Bill also had a huge passion for stock car racing and each and every weekend throughout the summer season; raced his beloved stock car #49.  Later in life, Bill gave full commitment to his church, by offering years of service as an altar server.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, council 1490.

       He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  Rest in peace my love!

        A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604-13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Fr. Kevin Tumback celebrant.
