Kelly Richard Straat

Kelly Richard Straat of Stirling, beloved husband of Shalayne Straat, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the age of 46 years.

Besides his loving wife and soul mate, Shalayne, Kelly is survived by his daughters Leah-Marie and Lexi, and his son, Luke; his brothers, Paul, Dave, Matt and Nick; his mother in law, Carole-Ann (David); sister in law, Lisa and brother in law, Chad; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kelly was predeceased by his mother, Mia, father, John and brother, Johnny.

Kelly was a hardworking, gentle and simple man. He was a kind and loving husband, father, son, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend. He touched the lives of all those he crossed paths with. Kelly gave the best hugs and could fix anything and everything: “Can’t” was not a word in his vocabulary. Kelly will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

At Kelly’s request a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
