It is with sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Worboys at the Chinook Regional Hospital on November 24, 2012 at the age of 103.

Eleanor was born in the now ghost town of Bankhead, Alberta in Banff National Park, on August 10, 1909. Her early years were spent in Bankhead; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Coleman, Alberta. As a young woman she moved to Lethbridge where she met and married Stan Worboys on July 2, 1935. The wedding took place in Coleman, Alberta.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Stan on October 13, 1993; by her parents Michael and Suzanna Kovac, her sister Irene Kovach (nee Kovac), and her brother John Milan "Mickey" Kovac.

She is survived by her son, Ken (Barb) of Lethbridge, and grand-daughters Terri Worboys of Lethbridge and Ronni Worboys of Claremont, California; Also sister-in-law Freeda Kovac of Lethbridge.

She was independent and feisty to the very end; we'll miss that.

Cremation. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
