Born in Victoria BC, Mr. Alan David Albers of Fort Macleod, AB passed away in his sleep at the age of 80 years. He leaves behind his wife Shirley, daughter Linda Levenne, sister Mary Rolof and their extended families.
Al moved from Barrhead, AB to Whitehorse, YT in the mid 1960’s and became an automotive mechanic. (38 years) There, he married Shirley in 1969 and enjoyed life which included fishing and hunting. His greatest passion was silhouette shooting and was a founding member of the Whitehorse Rifle & Pistol Club and range. Through the years, he travelled from coast to coast competing in the sport and found many lifelong friends along the way. He retired from work and left the Yukon in the early 2000’s and settled in southern Alberta and continued his love of shooting.
Following Al’s wishes, there will be no service….but to all shooters, the next time you are on a gun range, set a target, exhale and damn well don’t miss!
He will be deeply missed by family & friends.
