Brent Allen Sorge
November 24th, 1974 – April 3rd, 2021

Brent Allen Sorge, beloved son, father, brother, and friend died on Saturday, April 3rd. Left to mourn his passing are his daughters Raven Scott Sorge (Vince Knight) and Nella Sorge, his mother JoAnn St. John (Ian Hepher), his father Allen Sorge (Mary Ann), his sister Robyn Sorge (Christen Dokk Smith) and niece Freyja, his brother Kevin Sorge (Brittany) and nephew Max.

His step-brothers Robin Hepher (Corinne Theissen) and Skye, and Michael Hepher (Anie) and Finn and Theo will also mourn his passing. Brent belonged to a huge extended family, and had a large circle of friends, who are all deeply saddened by this loss.

Brent was a man like no other. To quote some of his many friends, "he had a fire and passion that burned brightly, yet always seemed to be one step away from his own happiness". He championed the downtrodden and was never at a loss to share his heart…or his opinion.

Growing up, Brent loved being with family and friends. Brent comes from two large loving families and learned early in life about the importance of connection. He forged deep and meaningful friendships that supported him through many struggles and adversity.

At a young age he developed a love of music, which came to be his life-long passion. It was through music that Brent found his greatest expression and deepest joy, outside of his daughters. He was a die-hard Oilers fan, to which many of his friends can attest.

Brent had a brilliant mind and a heart that loved fiercely, yet he struggled with everyday life.

"Rest in power, Brent. You are loved. And you will be missed."

Due to current restrictions, a private celebration of immediate family is being held on Friday, April 9th. A “Celebration of Life” honouring Brent will be held later this summer, depending on COVID restrictions.
