Calla-Lee Gramke Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Calla-Lee Gramke on July 8, 2025, at the age of 56 in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Born in 1968, Calla-Lee lived a full and adventurous life, marked by resilience, independence, and deep love for her family. Throughout her life, she moved across the United States before returning to Alberta in 2006. She worked for many years at the credit union before transitioning to a role at the local hospital, where she remained until 2022, when her health required her to step back.
Calla-Lee was a vibrant soul with a creative spirit. She loved arts and crafts, experimenting with new recipes inspired by the Food Network, and sunny getaways to Cabo San Lucas. Above all, her greatest joy came from being “Nana” — a role she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her children, Aubrey (fiancée, Cleo) & Julia (spouse, Ryan); her beloved granddaughter Addison, as well as her grandson that is expected in November. She is also survived by her brothers Dwight & Donnie, and their families.

Calla-Lee was predeceased by her brother, Kim; her parents, Julia & Donald, as well as her beloved companion, JJ.

Fiercely unique, strong-willed, and independent, Calla-Lee will be remembered for her determination, warmth, and creativity. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that her family will carry forward.

As per Calla-Lee’s wishes, no Formal Service is planned at this time. If you'd like to honor her memory, we believe she’d ask you to raise a cup of coffee—or a shot of tequila (your call). Take a moment to think of her fondly and reflect on what she meant to you. Or, in true Calla fashion and true to her opinionated spirit, feel free to tell someone getting on your nerves to bite you (or that could be replaced with any of her favorite colorful four-letter words), flip them the finger, and walk away smiling.

Calla will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Her spirit will continue to linger gently in our hearts, a quiet presence in every moment.

We love you, Mom. Forever and Always.
