Dan Edward Rollier, of Hill Spring, Alberta, passed away on September 6th of 2023, at the age of 75, following a short battle with cancer.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Silven and Velma and brother Cecil.
Dan touched many people’s lives. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years, Bev (nee Rose), his children Gary (Chantal), Danielle (Mike), Michael (Audrey), 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and his furry shadow, Meeka.
Dan was born in Kamloops, BC; the youngest of ten children. He grew up in Sunnybrae, BC and moved to Calgary, Alberta where he met Bev when they worked together at City Centre Car Wash. They were married in 1969 and, other than a brief move to Kamloops, they raised their family in Calgary. Dan drove truck for Canada Safeway for 38 years prior to retiring to Hill Spring, Alberta. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. He was a very kind man, always willing to help anyone at any time. He came to the rescue of numerous strangers involved in traffic accidents and served for several years as an active member of the Volunteer Fire Department after moving to Hill Spring.
Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Dan’s life at the Hill Spring Hall on September 30th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation in Dan’s name be made to the Pincher Creek Hospital or a charity of your choice.
