1938-2025
During his favourite time of year, the Christmas Season, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest ‘Ernie’ Louie Kish, on December 9, 2025. After sharing an afternoon of conversation and togetherness with his beloved wife, Christina, the Lord called his name.
Ernie is predeceased by his parents Vendel and Tina; Brother, Vendel Jr; sisters, Julia and Jean.
Left to Celebrate Ernie’s life is his loving wife Christina of 56 years, his sisters, Mary, Viola, Deanna (Marty), Victor (Flo), Lorraine (Bob), and numerous nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
Ernie was born in rural Saskatchewan. He left Saskatchewan at a young age to work in Alberta. He returned to Regina in the 60s and met the love of his life, Christina. They later moved back to the Lethbridge area and built a new life together.
Ernie made friends everywhere he went, and many became lifelong friends. We often joked that he should install a revolving door in the house, because as one friend was leaving, another friend was coming for coffee. Ernie worked hard his whole life, but his expertise and love was restoring vintage cars.
Ernie loved life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will be held at a later date.
