Gordon Herbert Frayn

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Gordon Frayn, beloved husband of Donna Frayn of Lethbridge, AB. Gordon passed away peacefully in the hospital surrounded by his loving family on February 10th, 2018 at the age of 91 years.

Gordon was a loving father to Kurt (Karen) Hoppman-Frayn of Carmel, New York, USA, Lana (Russell) Benson of Lethbridge, and Karla Trimble (Gord McDonald) of Taber. He was a devoted grandpa to Kaitlyn (Wyatt) Mallia and Jay-Ryan Frayn, Brendon and Alyssa Benson, Jordan (Jackie) Trimble, Tiana Trimble, Jessica (Jordan) Herbst, Allie Trimble and one great granddaughter, Halie Herbst. He was predeceased by his parents Anson and Mabel Frayn, his brothers John, Carl and Cyril Frayn, sister Luella Hadford. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Gordon was retired for 30 years but was a handy man who continued his passion for fixing things and building projects big or small. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sports, playing pool and having coffee with friends and spending time with his dog Max. He loved to travel, camp and meet new people. He had a generous heart, calm demeanour, and contagious smile that brightened the room and will forever be missed by those who knew him.

A special thanks to Dr. Burke, Dr. MacIntyre, Dr. Amatto and the nurses from 4C at the Chinook Regional Hospital who provided excellent care to him. Further details for Gordon’s Celebration of Life will be announced in the spring of 2018.
