Hartmut "Hart" Born

    It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our uncle Hart, step-father and grandfather "Grandpa Hart".
    Hart passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at the age of 85 at the Chinook Regional Hospital  after a lengthy battle with pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).
     He is survived by one of 3 sisters  Helga Hopewell, of Axminster UK, his longtime friend and ex-wife Jean Nystrom and her family, as well as nieces and nephews from a previous marriage to Fay Whitford.
   

Hart wishes to express his most sincere gratitude to the management and Staff at the Pemmican Lodge which he called home for the past 4 years and to the Doctors and Staff at CHR for their love and care in preparation for his passing.
   

His wishes and requests that there be no formal Funeral or Celebration of Life. There will be an Interment at Mountain View Cemetery for family to attend at a later date.
   

Donations to the Lethbridge Food Bank or the Heart & Lung Foundations can be made in his memory.
