Jean House

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Vinette House, beloved wife of the late Ron House, on November 30, 2022 at the age of 91 years.

Jean leaves to mourn her passing her sons Barry, Murray (Sheri), Kevin, her daughter Arlene, and daughter in law Lillian. Jean is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Jean was predeceased by her parents George and Helen Croy, her son Blair in 2001, her husband Ron in 2014, and her brother Keith in 2021.

As a young girl, Jean worked on the farm riding the tractor, helping with the chickens, and raising a 4H calf or two along the way.

She met and married the "love of her life" Ron in 1950 and together they raised 5 children who adored them both.

Jean spent countless hours watching all of her children and grandchildren play sports from baseball, hockey, figure skating, volleyball, bowling, soccer, speed skating, and curling. She thoroughly  enjoyed watching and cheering everyone on.

Jean was a homemaker at heart, keeping her active family organized and providing great meals for them. She was always welcoming an extra kid or two at the table, treating them as her own.

Jean was an avid golfer and enjoyed the game year-round. She and Ron became "Snow Birds" for a number of years, making many new friends from many different places in Canada and the US. Friendships with other Snow Birds lasted for many years and they often would visit each other during the summer months at various locations.

A Celebration of Life will be held in June 2023 when all of the family can be together.
