Jerome David Hearn

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family, Jerome “Romie” Hearn on August 22, 2023 at Claresholm General Hospital in Claresholm, Alberta, at the age of 71 years.

Jerome is survived by his loving children David, Pamela, Wayne (Vicki), as well as 13 grandchildren: Matthew, David, Devon, Joshua, Tanisha(Rio), Megan (Eddie), Cole, Shaylynne, Mackenzie( Doug), Madison, Kylie, Tyson and Daxton. Also left with loving memories are brothers Patrick(Leona), John and sister Mary Lou. brother in laws Tom, William, Robert(Lydia). Sister in laws Darlene(Albert) and Tina. As well as many nieces and nephews across Alberta, Ontario and Newfoundland.

Jerome was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Marilyn, parents James and Rose, brothers Wayne and Michael as well as sisters Teresa and Dianne.

Jerome was born in St. John’s Newfoundland and relocated to Alberta in 1997. Before relocating to Alberta Jerome worked for the city of St. John’s for many years as well as Hearn distributing. Once in Alberta Jerome worked in northern Alberta,pipelining, Fort Macleod at Structural Truss Systems and Finally Noble blade in Nobleford. Jerome was a hardworking and dedicated employee and made many friends along the way.

Jerome’s greatest love in his life were his wife, children and grandchildren. There was no prouder Father or Poppy than him.  The memories and love that were shared together will be cherished forever.

Our family would like to thank all the Doctors and nursing staff at the Claresholm General Hospital for the outstanding care Dad received. There are no words to express our extreme gratitude for this.

As per Jerome’s request a private Celebration of Life will be held following his cremation. Interment of ashes will be done in Newfoundland at a later date.
