Kathleen Karol Jackman (nee Kenney), 70, passed away suddenly but peacefully on April 21, 2026. Born on August 10, 1955, Kathleen lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end, touching the lives of many along the way. She was a kind, caring, and deeply loving woman. There was never a hidden agenda with her-she spoke honestly, loved openly, and gave freely. She did not expect perfection, only your best. Her love and passion for family, including her global family, were evident to all who knew her. Her presence always brought joy, laughter, and warmth to every gathering.
As a young woman, Kathleen married and started a family. She worked in banking and later served as an instructor with St. John Ambulance. Kathleen had a passion for helping others and enjoyed a variety of activities, including volunteering to help bus Sunday school children and even dog sledding. She later pursued her passion for teaching, completing her Bachelor of Education in 1987, and went on to teach high school students.
Kathleen, alongside her husband George, opened their home to host international students in Lethbridge, Alberta through CHN, touching many lives both locally and around the world. She had a gift for sharing her knowledge and making everyone feel equal, valued, and included.
Kathleen is survived by her adoring husband, George Jackman, and her children: Russell Cronk of Calgary, AB; Timothy Cronk (Kimberly Hansen) of Lethbridge, AB; Andrea Cronk of Calgary, AB; and Charity Calzuolo (Giuseppe Calzuolo) of Lethbridge, AB. She was a proud grandmother to Dyllian, Kylie, Juliano, Mackenzie (Ace), Evan, Jack, Wyatt, and Dillano, and a loving great-grandmother to Cassius.
She is also survived by her siblings Sharon (Ernie Gabbs) of Kelowna, BC, and Katherine (Monty Smith) of Nipawin, SK, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Kathleen was predeceased by her father, Jack Russell Terrence Kenney; her mother, Thelma Andrea Brevig Kenney Siedekum; and her siblings John Lorenz Russell Kenney (Gertrude Laslop- Kenney), and Mary Ann Kenney Laurakinen.
Kathleen’s legacy of love, kindness, and connection will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
More details regarding a celebration of Kathleen’s life will be shared at a later date.
