Kenneth Lucien Low, born October 27, 1937, passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre on May 20, 2012 at the age of 74 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ken is now reunited with his parents, sister Margaret and brother Byron.
Ken is survived by his only son, Ken Jr. and daughter-in-law Shelley; his grandchildren, Jordon, Brittany and Tristan; four sisters, Loretta Goertzen of Calgary, Marie Oseen of Lethbridge, Sylvia (Harry) Seredinski of Lethbridge, Patsy (Rick) Frappier of Coaldale and three brothers, Ron (Janet) Low of Lethbridge, Gordon (Valene) Low of Raymond and Boyd (Dorothy) Low of Lethbridge, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Clesson and Irene Low, youngest brother, Byron and third oldest sister, Margaret, as well as special nephew Shaun Oseen.
Ken was a devoted bachelor, spending his lifetime working with animals. He was a true horseman, as was his father, Clesson. Ken had a real love and passion for thoroughbred racing horses, and actively participated in the thoroughbred racing industry. He was very well known and respected by his peers.
Ken was very a special person in the lives of his extended family and will be fondly missed and remembered for his great sense of humor, curtness, easy smile, friendly, helpful ways and for his integrity and dedication.
Ken had a lot of friends, but some of them who stood by him closer than a brother, namely Dick Metz, Willie Hebenik, David Roger Forbes and Dale (Digger) Mortensen. The family thanks you.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Central Church of Christ, 716-23 St N. Lethbridge, at 1 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012 with Rev. Mark Noonan from Bridge City Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
