Les (Leslie) Smith Obituary

We are heart broken to share the news that Les (Leslie) Franklin Smith, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather passed away at St. Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge, AB. May 15, 2022 at the age of 74. 

Les is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Colleen (Wilson), Son Derek (Jolene) Smith, Daughters Angela (Mitch) Carter, Stacy Smith (Travis Schnarr). 

He was deeply loved & cherished by his grandchildren Zackary (Mackenzie) Carter, Shyra Smith ( Kyle Dewsnap), Dextor Carter, Melissa Carter, Gage Carter & Tessa Schnarr. Also, by his 4 great grandchildren Bentley, Olivia & Parker Dewsnap, Boston Carter. 

He is survived by his sister Venetta Smith, brothers Brock (June) Smith, Todd (Susan) Smith, sister in laws Wanda Smith & Wendy Smith whom all reside in Nova Scotia. 

In laws Carol (Don) Konchuk, Lyle (Marilyn) Wilson & Kip Wilson. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He is predeceased by his parents Herman & Edith Audrey (Horne) Smith. Brothers Terry, Kennard & Wade Smith. In laws Gordon & Martha Wilson. Sister in laws Linda Smith and Judy Wilson. 

Thank you to Dr. Krogg & staff at Coulee Medical Clinic (Taber), Milk River Home Care & Health Centre, Milk River Rexall Pharmacy and all the staff and doctors at the St. Michael’s Palliative Health Centre in Lethbridge. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Milk River Cemetery in Les’ name at PO Box 251 Milk River, AB. T0K 1M0 or to the charity of your choice. 

A private memorial service will follow.
