Lis Lassen

It is with great sadness that the family of Lis Lassen announce her passing on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 89 years. She was born on May 1, 1936, to Alkjer Højlund and Anna Højlund (nee: Nielson) in Arhus, Denmark. 

A cherished wife to Frank Engberg Lassen, they were married on November 29, 1958 beginning a happy and enduring union that lasted 66 years. Their connection was strong, and they soon became inseparable, sharing long walks, dancing, gardening, camping, fishing and traveling to explore the mountains and the world.

Lis will be lovingly remembered by her husband Frank, her sons Dennis Lassen (Susan Nisula), Eric Lassen (Kathleen Duchesneau). A beloved Grandmother, Lis will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren Nathaniel, Mikayla, Victoria, and Alexandra Lassen. 

Lis was privately Interred in Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
