Lois Ellis

Lois Marie Ellis (nee Hatlelid) passed away Feb. 17, 2012 at the age of 55 years, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Lois is survived by her husband Tom; her sons, Scott (Twyla), Mark and his children Aedyn and Riley of Lethbridge; step-daughter Shannon (Graham) Smith and children Macklin and Cameron of Victoria; mother Lettie Hatlelid; sister Norma Hatlelid of Calgary and nieces Nicole and Kendra Kusick; mother-in-law Florence Ellis; sister-in-law Linda (Ed) McLaren and brother- in-law George (Pat) Ellis of Calgary. Lois was predeceased by her father Alfred Hatlelid in 1985.

Lois was born Oct. 12, 1956 in Consort AB to Lettie and Alfred Hatlelid. She was raised in Consort, Dewberry, Beaverlodge, Fairview, Peace River and Calgary. She started work in the banking industry in Calgary and married Tom Ellis in 1983, living in Turner Valley and Naphtha before moving to Lethbridge in 1996. Lois continued working in banking until taking medical leave in 2001 and again in 2007.

A celebration of Lois' life will be held at 1 P.M. Mar. 17, 2012 at the Eagles Hall, 613-13 St. N. Lethbridge.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or charity of choice.
