Marion Louise Mix

May 29, 1948 ~ December 29, 2021 (age 73)

Obituary

Marion Louise Mix passed away peacefully at Legacy Lodge in Lethbridge, on December 29, 2021 at the age of 73 years, surrounded by her family.

Marion was the youngest of six children born May 29, 1948 to Joe and Ruth Nash in Mannville, Alberta.  She moved to Vulcan where she raised three children, Paula, Karson, and Kelly.  She worked at several local businesses in Vulcan where she enjoyed many “good visits” with her patrons.

She had a tremendous love for her family, but especially for her grandchildren.  Whether she was supporting them on the sidelines of a hockey game or there for them in the celebrations and challenges, she was very involved in their lives.  She was always someone they could lean on. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by those she loved.

She had a special place in her heart for animals and was never without a dog by her side.  She enjoyed her morning coffee and smoke while playing games on her computer. She also loved reading a good book, completing a puzzle, word search and cheering on her beloved Calgary Flames.

Besides her mom and dad, she was predeceased by her sister Dianne Busko, and brother Dave Nash.

She is celebrated by her children, Paula (Trent), Karson, Kelly (Kris); grandchildren, Garrett, Kelsey, Karmen, Sydney, Grayson, and Kailey, and great grandchildren, Hailey, Remington and Lincoln; brother Lyall (Sheryl) Nash, brother Norris Nash, sister-in-law Lola Mix, brother-in-law Lou Busko, along with numerous friends and family.

We would like to extend a thank you to Legacy Lodge for their compassion, support, and dignified care of Marion over these last few years.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marion’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
