It is with great sorrow and deep love that we mourn the passing of Mark Arik, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Mark passed away suddenly on February 15, 2023.
Mark leaves behind his loving wife, Louise Arik, daughter, Shanelle Arik, sons, Carter and Lucas Arik, his parents, Eugene and Iren Arik, brothers, Eugene Jr (Tracey), John (Margaret), Tom, and sisters, Judy Arik and Tammy (Skip) Harper. Nieces and nephews, Kyle Arik, Megan Arik (Chris Nygaard), Jessie Arik, Kaitlyn Arik, TJ (Chantal) Arik, Cherie Arik, Ryan (Rennie) Arik, Jen (Brandon) Schwartz, Nathan (Brooke) Harper, Ben Harper, Hannah Harper and Ethan Gill. He is also survived by two great nephews and three great nieces. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steve and Kathy Gill and brother-in-law, Justin Gill.
Mark loved spending time outdoors, camping and fishing at Little Bow with his family. He liked joking around and had a dry sense of humor. He enjoyed hockey and was a great teacher of the sport to his son, Lucas and nephews, Ryan and Nathan, always encouraging and willing to help. He was a hard worker and installed flooring for many decades until recently, due to Crohn’s disease, he was no longer able to work.
Mark will forever be a part of us. He will live on inside our hearts for all of eternity.
A Celebration of Mark’s Life, a casual come and go, will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at The Nest Events, 2806 5 Avenue North, next to Honkers Pub & Eatery. All of Mark’s family and friends are welcome to attend.
