In Loving Memory of Marlene Joanne (Vos) Bruinsma

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Bruinsma, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Marlene, aged 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 31, 2026. She was predeceased by her infant son, Matthew.

Marlene was born on March 7, 1957 to Edward and Johanna Vos of Burdett, AB. Marlene is the fourth of six children. Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Siebe; her son, Kyle (Candy); her daughter, Karen (Cam Woo); and her precious grandchildren, Leanne, Jared, and Hunter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Park Meadows Baptist Church in Lethbridge, Alberta, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026. A livestream will be available for those unable to attend in person. Please dress casually, as per Marlene’s final wishes.
