Mrs. Violet Pickering

It is with great sadness and loving memories, that we announce the passing of our dear mother Violet Pickering. Mom passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at the age of 97.

Violet is survived by her daughters Mabel Harrold, Laura (Lorne) McGowan, Elsie (Art) Friesen, Maxine (Gary) McKinnon; sons Howard, Harry, Gary, Glen, Norman, Dean (Terry) along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Violet was predeceased by her husband Henry, two sisters Mary and Harriet, and her four brothers, Jim, Wilf, Cliff and Charlie.

She was a devoted mother who cared for and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was resilient, selfless and always concerned about those close to her. She had a great sense of humor and provided our family with many laughs. We will forever carry her in our hearts.

At Violet's request a private family service will be held at a later date.
