Patrick Donovan Stabler was born on May 10, 1968, in Goodsoil, SK and died of a heart attack on October 29, 2024, at his home in Nobleford, AB. He attended school in Edmonton, Lethbridge, and Calgary before entering the workforce at Callaway Park west of Calgary. He tried many professions including bricklayer, house painter, DJ, pilot truck driver, and year round caretaker at Fortress Mountain Ski Resort. In 2000, after the death of his grandfather, he became his grandmother's caregiver so she could continue to live in her own home. When she moved to Garden View Lodge, Patrick started working for Ag Growth International (AGI) in Nobleford, AB, where he was a valued employee from June 2008 to the time of his death.
Patrick is mourned by his parents Yvonne & Harry Sugimoto, the Stacey & Sugimoto families, as well as his friends and co-workers. We will all miss his hearty laugh and following knee slap.
He was predeceased by his sister Jo-Anne Carol Stabler, and his grandparents Ken & Pauline Stacey, as well as other Stacey and Sugimoto family members and friends that were very dear to him.
In keeping with Patrick's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. At a future date, his ashes and those of his beloved cat, Rusty, will be scattered in the mountains.
We greatly appreciate the RCMP, Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, and Evergreen Cremation Services for their assistance and support at this terrible time.
Flowers and koden are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, if desired.
