Rodger Mclean of Coaldale, beloved husband of Dorothy Mclean, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre on Saturday, November 18, 2023, with family by his side at the age of 79.
Rodger was born in Eastend, SK. He was an ironworker and welder by trade and was employed by the Town of Coaldale Recreation Department (Ice Arena and Stafford Lake). Rodger loved camping trips with family and friends and he was known for his smile by everyone at Sunny South Lodge.
Rodger is survived by his brother Dan, sisters Beverly, Veronica, and Shirley and his three children Denny (Julie), Ari, and Dallas (Christina). As well as his grandchildren Chelsey (Chase), Draye, Dustyne (Stephan), Sadie, Nevaeh, Tanya (Kyle), Tiana, and Kade, two great-grandchildren Kyla and Maisley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rodger was predeceased by nine of his siblings, his mother Beatrice, father Willard, grandson Dallas Jr., and great-grandson Christopher.
A service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on December 23, 2023, at the Coaldale Community Centre, 1217 20th Ave, Coaldale, AB, T1M 1C4
