Obituary

Rosemary Louise Large (Cross) died peacefully in her room at Good Samaritan West Highland Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta on October 15th 2022 at the age of 93.

Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, her husband Keith, her oldest sister Erna, her youngest daughter Janice, her one grandson Michael. Rosemary is survived by 3 children and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews as well as her sister Thea Halter.

Rosemary was born on June 30, 1929 in Port Arthur, Ontario. As a young woman she met and married Edwin Keith Large. They eventually made a home for their 4 children (Eric, Peggy, Jeff and Janice) in Thunder Bay, Ontario. After being widowed in 1972 Rosemary continued to live and work in Thunder Bay until she moved to Vancouver to help care for her mother and say good bye to her terminally ill oldest sister, Erna.

In 2016 Rosemary moved to Lethbridge and in 2017 took up residence in Good Samaritan West Highland Centre Memory Care Cottage where she received excellent care from the management, staff, and the two ladies who provided weekly companionship visits.

Rosemary was entrusted to Evergreen Cremation Services in Lethbridge, Alberta. There will be no formal service but family will gather at Silver Islet at a later date to celebrate her life in the place that was forever in Rosemary’s heart.
