Thomas Gordon Millman (Tom) 71 years of age, passed away at his home on Tuesday October 29, 2024.
Tom was born October 23, 1953 in Alberton, P.E.I. to the late Ed and Florence (Kinch) Millman. Tom leaves to cherish his loving memory to his family: Ken of Calgary AB., Helen Gavin of Alberton P.E.I., Bill (Melda) Huntley P.E.I., Blayne Millman of Alberton P.E.I. and Rod (Leanne) Summerside P.E.I. and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was predeceased by is parents Ed and Florence (Kinch)Millman, the Love of his life his wife Petra Villebrun, his son Herbert(Herbie)Brass, his sister Peggy Riley and nieces and nephews.
Tom was an avid traveller in his younger days. One never knew where or when he might show up. He would pack a bag and stick out his thumb, and always loved to ride the open road. Through out his life, Tom travelled from the West coast to the East Coast and made numerous stops in between, he definitely loved his adventures. Through out his years of traveling Tom came to the city Lethbridge AB where he settled and made himself a Homefire (Home) for the last 33 years. The one thing Tom really loved were he resided, was walking/hiking in the coulees. He had made himself a Prayer Circle ( Indigenous Teaching) Tom took a very strong interest to the Indigenous Traditional ways. This was where he found his serenity.
In 1991, Tom met his True Love Petra. They fell in love and then they grew in love. Tom said in his last while here, “ The first 13 years were rough but the last 18 years were Mystical”. She was his everything and she was his life, as he was hers’. Petra sadly and suddenly passed aways 10 months before Tom, so he was left with loneliness and a shattered heart. But, he is now reunited with his Love Petra, his son Herbie, his beautiful sister Peggy and the rest of his Heavenly Family.
Tom was more of a private man, a man of few words but in those few words he would say a lot. He was also a man who wore his heart on his sleeve, if he could help a person out he would, if a person needed to talk, he would take the time to listen. He was a loving and caring person, however, he would also speak/say what was on his mind. Tom loved all his family, sibling ,nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, but the 2 he had a strong bond with was his brother Blayne and his niece Chick (Little Petra). All in all, to know Tom was to Love Tom.
Tom will be Greatly missed by his family and friends, but never forgotten. Fly high Tom and may you Rest In Peace.
